Let The Past Stay In The Past

It is so vitally important that once you become a new creature in Christ that you leave the past exactly where it belongs.. in the past. The worst thing that you can do is to continue to live in the past and relive what was, could have or should have been. Isaiah 43:18, "Allow God to do a new thing, it shall spring forth, shall ye not know it." How can you expect God to do a new thing if you keep are constantly stuck in the past?

Romans 8:1-2," There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit. For the law of the Spirit of life in Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death." Once you come to Jesus, the devil will continually use his lies and deceit to make you think that you were better off in the world. The devil is a lie. Do not allow yourself to be beguiled, spoiled and judged. Hebrews 12:2, "Jesus is the author and finisher of our faith."

Learn from your mistakes and why you stayed in transgressions and iniquities. As soon as Adam sinned in the Garden of Eden, sin was put in all of us. Therefore, God already knows that we are going to sin in some way, shape or form. What matters is that we allow the Holy Spirit to come into our lives and teach us whatever is necessary so that we don't consistently repeat the same mistake over and over.

Remember learning has not taken place until there has been a modification in behavoir. If you continue to do the same thing, you will get the same result. Therefore, when you gave your salvation you were basically saying that you tried it your way and it failed. Now that you are doing it the way of Jesus, you must do differently in order to get a different result.

Only the Holy Spirit knows our tomorrow, so we must live each and every day to the absolute fullest as we prepare for tomorrow. Learn from your past, but don't stay in the past and your today and your future will be that much brighter.

Conduct, Character, and Commitment

Can I just say how critical your conduct, character, and commitment are in your daily life. Psalms 51:1-10 talks about guarding your mind, because what is in your mind will come out in your conduct. Your conduct is your character on display and your commitment is what will determine what you put in your mind.

It is a full circle. That is why we are taught in several scriptures throughout the Bible that we are to be transfored from the world. We are in the world, we are not of the world. Once you acknowledge your sins, then you can ask God to forgive you for your sins. Then allow the word of God to cleanse your of your sins.

God is omnipresent and omnipetent. That means that He knows all and sees all. There is absolutely nothing that you can keep from God. You may be able to confuse, lie, hide, and get away with certain things to people, but not from God. God knew your thoughts and what you were going to do before you did.

That is why it is to crucial to conduct yourself only as Jesus did. Therefore, as God told David in Psalms110:1, "The Lord said to my Lord, Sit at My right hand, Till I make your enemies your footstool." Always allow God to fight your battles for you. Absolutely everything that you do within your conduct, character, and commitment should be that of God. Anything that is contrary will damage your relationship with the trinity. Once it is damaged you will have to show God that He can trust you again. Be a credible witness to others. They should be able to tell that you are diffent from the world.

Obedience is Better than Sacrafice

Before we can begin to talk about what it means to be disciplined according to the word of God, we must first understand what it means to be disobedient. When you are disobedient 1.) refusing to heard the word of God, 2.) hearing the word of God incorrectly, and 3.) rejecting the will of God. When we are disobedient it is because we are not putting our flesh under subjection. When we do this, then we are meant to suffer and we will have some type of loss in our lives.

If you have a improper attitude you will always cause harm to your relationship with the trinity of God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit. In James 2:17-22, " Thus also faith by itself is dead, if it does not have works, is dead." The works simply means your obedience to God. Therefore, if you do not have obedience then you can you can not have any faith.

In 1Samuel15:22-23, "Behold to obey is better than sacrafice, and to heed than the fat of rams. For rebellion is as the sin of withchcraft and stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry. Because you have rejected the word of the Lord, He also has rejected you from being king." When we sacrafice to the devil it will bring death and when we sacrafice to the Lord it will bring abundant life. We must remain obedient even when we are faced with temptation by the world.Delight yourself unto the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart. God knows what you need, but he can only give them to you if you always put him first and continue to give him the honor and the glory.

When we are obedient unto God, blessings and favor will be ours for the taking. God wants the absolute best for us and did not create us to fail. The answer to all of our problems, circumstances, situations, tribulations, trials, or any other question rests in the word of God. Matthew 6:24, No one can serve two masters:for either he will hate one and love the other or else he will be loyal to the one and despise the other. You can not serve God and mammon. Therefore, I say to you do not worry about what you will eat or what you will drink.

Just always seek God first in all that you do, say, or think. Remain obedient to God at all times even when you don't understand and you will continue to be blessed and receive favor.
